Troubleshooting
Load, audio, progress, ads, and mobile issues for Focus Drop
Focus Drop runs in the browser at playfocusdrop.com/play as a free precision-timing game by Wiserunts. Most issues trace to cache, connectivity, browser permissions, or private browsing modes — not missing campaign content. Work through the section that matches your symptom. If nothing helps, email support with the details listed at the end.
Game won’t load or stays blank
- Confirm you can open playfocusdrop.com and then navigate to /play.
- Hard-refresh the page (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+R) or clear site cache for playfocusdrop.com.
- Disable aggressive ad blockers or privacy extensions temporarily — some block scripts the game shell needs. You can re-enable after testing.
- Try another browser (current Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge). Older WebViews sometimes fail to compile modern JS.
- Check your network; captive portals and some school/work filters block game CDNs or Firebase endpoints used for progress.
- If a service worker serves a stale broken shell, unregister the service worker for the site in browser settings, then reload.
Audio problems
Mobile browsers often block audio until a user gesture. Tap once inside the game canvas after load. Check the in-game mute toggle and the hardware silent switch on iPhone. If audio desyncs after a long Endless run, refresh the tab. Headphones vs speaker rarely matter unless the OS route is stuck on a disconnected Bluetooth device — disconnect and retry.
Progress missing or not syncing
Focus Drop can save progress locally and via cloud auth. Private/incognito windows often wipe local data when closed. Clearing site data resets local progress. If you use optional Google sign-in to sync across devices, confirm you are signed into the same account on each device. After completing a tough level like Thunder Gate or Zen Master, wait a moment for save before force-closing the tab.
We cannot always restore progress erased by clearing browser storage. If cloud sync was enabled and something looks wrong server-side, contact support with the approximate level and time of the clear.
Ads behavior
The browser game is free and may show ads. Blank ad slots, rare layout jumps, or delayed interstitials can happen when the ad network has no fill — that is normal. If ads cover controls and do not dismiss, refresh. Do not click ads repeatedly to “make them go away”; use the ad’s close control when present. Ad blockers may also break unrelated scripts; whitelist playfocusdrop.com if the game misbehaves only with the blocker on. See our Disclaimer, Privacy Policy, and Terms for how ads and data fit together.
Mobile and install quirks
Play in an up-to-date mobile browser. If you added a home-screen / PWA shortcut, try opening the same URL in a full browser tab to compare. Low-power mode and extreme battery savers can hitch frame timing — important for a precision-timing game. Rotate lock and notch-safe areas: if taps feel offset, try fullscreen or hiding the browser chrome. Very old phones may struggle on Abyss-density frames; lowering concurrent browser tabs helps.

Input feels wrong or delayed
Precision-timing games expose latency. Wired or low-latency connections help less than local device health: close background video tabs, disable high CPU extensions, and avoid screen recording overlays while attempting Perfect Storm or Precision Fire. On mobile browsers, floating translation bars or toolbar expansions can shift the tap coordinates relative to the canvas — hide toolbars and retry. If only phantom taps feel late, that may be skill timing rather than input lag; compare against Calm Waters. If every mode feels delayed, try another browser engine.
Performance hitching on late Endless / Abyss
Dense particle and drop counts are heavier than Calm Seas. Lower phone thermal throttling by removing a case during long sessions if heat is obvious, and avoid charging-plus-playing if the device thermal-limits. Desktop users can try hardware acceleration toggles if frames dip. Hitching that appears only after ads load may be transient network main-thread work — waiting a second after an ad closes before a hard level attempt can help.
Account and support expectations
Describe whether you play anonymously or with optional Google sign-in. Include approximate campaign progress (for example “cleared Thunder Gate, stuck on Ember”). We respond as a small team at Wiserunts; polite detail speeds answers. Gameplay strategy questions are best served by Guides; reserve support@wiserunts.com for technical defects, data loss with sync enabled, or safety concerns around ads.
